Filarmonica della Scala, Myung – Whun Chung. This year, Filarmonica della Scala celebrates forty years of existence and uninterrupted activity in the difficult scene of symphonic music. In its long-awaited appearance at the Odeon of Herod Atticus, it will be led by Korean conductor Myung Whun – Chung, one of the great maestros with whom the orchestra has a long-standing association and cooperation. Chung’s superb, robust readings of the masterpieces of the symphonic literature have rightfully earned him a place in the pantheon of the great conductors of our time.
